I have worked with Kitchens For Good for four years, before they were even called Kitchens For Good. They are an incredible company with incredible people. They have assisted my company with a yearly Thanksgiving Lunch for our patients every year. This event has become our patient’s most favorite activity of the whole year. It means so much to them. We hope to work with Kitchens For Good for years and years to come! -Elise N. (San Diego, CA)
Kitchens for Good has been the venue for the San Diego Press Club’s Annual Excellence in Journalism Awards for the past four years. We keep coming back for many reasons. The location is excellent, the venue itself it perfect for our event, and there is plenty of free parking. But those are just surface details. The most compelling reason for our loyalty is the fact that the staff are professional, responsive and fun to work with. I’m a perfectionist to an amazing extreme and it’s gratifying to me that the staff at KFG not only respects my requests but actually partners in the planning and execution of my event. We will come back as long as they will have us! -San Diego Press Club
Amazing food & service! Kitchens For Good recently catered our Engineers Without Borders annual fundraiser. They were professional and attentive the weeks leading up to the event and during the event itself. We received many many complements on the food as it was delicious! I would definitely recommend their services! -Shannon D. (San Diego, CA)
Kitchens For Good recently catered a weekend retreat for a my organization and I plan on using them every time we host a retreat in San Diego! They’re extremely professional, budget friendly and amazingly accommodating for special dietary restrictions. One of our participants with an extreme gluten allergy came up to me during the weekend and asked if he could take extra portions of his meal back to his room because he never had a gluten free wrap so delicious! We love working with Kitchens For Good and recommend their services to anyone who is looking to feed people some delicious food while helping make a difference. Thank you to Ray, Aviva and the entire Kitchens For Good team for making our retreat such a success! -Rebecca L. (San Diego, CA)
I highly recommend Kitchens for Good! From beginning to end they were highly professional, worked within our budget, and provided a beautiful reception for us. My organization hosted a reception for elected officials, staff, community leaders, and donors, and our guests were pleased with the food & customer service provided by Kitchens for Good. As a socially-minded catering business, I am proud to support their catering work. -Ashley H. (Normal Heights, San Diego, CA)
We used Kitchens for Good for an event our workplace was hosting. This was a VIP reception for donors, elected officials and community leaders. As a new vendor with us, Tiffany did an incredible job of making us feel confident in their abilities and staff. They worked within our budget, communicated consistently and quickly, and were right on time. The food was delicious and we got tons of compliments. Everyone was so pleased with the quality and with the service. -Dominque N. (San Diego, CA)
“It was a big win for the Alliance for California Traditional Arts to partner with the Jacobs Center on our event honoring and convening community heritage-based artists. We came to the Jacobs Center because it is known as the heart of the community – a place where residents feel they belong and can act, create, develop, and collaborate for positive community change. Our event was extraordinary. We could not have imagined the results by reading the menu. Chef Street’s creative combinations were a big topic of conversation by our guests and will be remembered for a long time to come. We loved witnessing how this model program works to provide job training in the hospitality field for its workers. The personnel were warm and highly professional. The only problem we have now is that our San Diego colleagues will expect an equally stunning culinary experience next time we gather!” – Amy Kitchener Alliance for California Traditional Arts

“It is my pleasure to acknowledge and extend appreciation to the staff involved in mounting yesterday’s Women in Mariachi event. An estimated 700 people crowded the amphitheater to witness outstanding performances, including headline Mariachi Renya De Los Angeles. The program, branded under Jacobs Presents, was well produced and a tremendous success!!
In all, it demonstrated excellent coordination of our arts programming work involving the civic engagement, community affairs, marketing, events, and facilities teams. It was wonderful to see.” — Reginald, Mariachi Festival

“Just wanted to thank everyone for all your hard work and dedication in creating a great 1st Noche de Ciencias at the Jacobs Center. The hands on activities were exciting/interesting/fun, the keynote speaker inspirational, parent workshop enlightening/educational, panel informative and as promised by the Jacobs Center. The food was amazing! It was amazing seeing so many students having fun and parents engaging in their child’s education! I’ll be sending out a meeting invite to celebrate our success and talk about lessons learned. Please bring receipts if you have items to be reimbursed. We have to make sure to turn in our report within two weeks to SHPE.” — Noche De Ciencias
“Thank you for a wonderful event. The service and staff were great.” — NAACP
“I wanted to shoot you a quick note. I’m sorry for not reaching out sooner- I got your voicemail yesterday. I’ve just been swamped with work and family stuff. I definitely want to catch up! The net of it is, everything from Kitchens for Good was spectacular. Everyone raved about the food and your on-site staff was totally on-point (presentation was gorgeous as well!) There will be some very happy yelp/knot/wedding wire/etc reviews headed your way. Anything I can do to help promote and generate business for you guys, I’m happy to do.” — Offsite Catering Event
“I just wanted to thank you for all you did to help us bring the Fr. Brown Scholarship Gala to Jacobs Center. We had 300 people attend the event and everyone was thrilled with your facilities, food and personnel. Many of our attendees had no idea this beautiful facility was in their backyard. Everyone was so impressed with the outstanding venue, food and service.
I want to mention a few individuals who went above and beyond. First is Lupita Guerrero. When I found out that Eddie Pico had left, I was very concerned. Lupita quickly reassured me everything would be handled to my satisfaction and she delivered on her word. The second is Tiffany Anchondo. She is one of the most professional and pleasant individuals I’ve had the opportunity to interface with. Our event flowed flawlessly and she managed every piece with excellence. I also want to recognize your tech support specialist who was very patient and helpful to us. There is one other person I want to recognize but I don’t remember his name. He is the gentleman who was setting up the tables and chairs for our event. He was simply terrific in helping us and I can’t say enough good things about him. In fact, all your servers and other personnel were terrific but these individuals stand out.
You’ll laugh… I was very worried that because we were having our event on a Friday during lent and had made a decision to not serve any meat, poultry or fish, our guests would complain. It was quite the opposite! People really enjoyed the meals that were served.” — Elise Naughtin, San Diego Gateway & Pathway to Recovery
